Jwaneng Diamond mine took delivery on Wednesday 21st of August 2019, of a completely overhauled and replacement 7495 Dipper Door 76 YD (11 tons), with 700 MPa toughened steel and 500 Brinell wear strips as per OEM salvage requirements and AWS D1.1 welding standards.

This door is for a Bucyrus 7495 Face Shovel operating at Debswana’s Diamond Mine in Botswana.

This is a first for Botswana’s heavy engineering in the mining sector. This was completed at DWD Engineering's Rasesa facility"

What's the reasoning behind not welding in the bores? Doing a final fit and weld to a dipper so no machining is required? I'm just curious as I'm a welder who fabricates dippers/doors.
